Our Events

In today’s culture of pluralism and diverging Worldviews, how does society navigate the barrier of our differences in a way that does not divide us? The political climate has never seen such extreme and irreconcilable differences. Our communities struggle to live with ethnic diversity. How do we answer this relevant question?
Socrates in the Vineyard is a relaxing evening over a glass of wine, smooth music, great food, and deep conversation. It is designed for those who enjoy being challenged on the deeper issues of life that affect every one of us. Whether it is questions of faith, philosophy or culture, we want people to grapple with significant questions of the day. Come and join us, regardless of what worldview that informs your personal choices.
Our Next Event is Scheduled for Friday, October 4th, 2019
at Lookout Point Golf and Country Club
Fonthill, Ontario

Guest Speaker:  Daniel Gilman, Itinerate Speaker
RAVI ZACHARIAS INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES

TOPIC:  THE ALLURE OF POWER

It was Abraham Lincoln that said “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”

Nearly everywhere we look today, we see the evidence for the struggle for power. Whether it is the boardroom of major corporations, in the halls of government or parenting our children – human beings crave power.  Daniel Gilman has spent that last decade working on Parliament Hill in Ottawa and around the globe interacting with leaders. He has learned how to have maximum impact without succumbing to the allure and the consequences of power.

Join us on Friday Oct 4th for some vintage wines, some smooth jazz and meaningful conversations as Daniel unpacks everything he has learned about the “Allure of Power”.
